ZenBusiness PBC

ZenBusiness is a legal formations company startup where I worked as a Product Designer. I led the creative strategy and execution for high-impact marketing initiatives that drove measurable growth and brand visibility.

I designed creative assets across new channels—such as affiliate, explainer videos, and events—and leveraged A/B testing to iterate and optimize, contributing to the company’s growth from an $800M to $1.7B valuation. I also directed a full redesign of onboarding and dropoff email campaigns, created collateral kits for business owners, designed SXSW event marketing material, and developed HTML5 animated ads as well as PPC ad creatives.

Rebranding for Low Customer Retention

ZenBusiness discovered that users were mostly engaging with the platform during and shortly after onboarding, then dropping off and only returning every few months to check formation documents or file paperwork. It became clear the product needed to evolve quickly, shifting from a simple formation company to a multifaceted business management solution where users could manage finances and invoices, schedule appointments, and speak with AI for business advice and task management - ultimately aiming for short, daily two-minute interactions. To embody this change, the brand moved in a more energetic, vibrant, bold, and sharp visual direction. I worked with the design department and head of design to explore different brand directions through brand jams, sprints, and product exercises; once a direction was chosen, I collaborated with another designer to create a comprehensive style guide for the company.
